Appear before his Excy the Govern' and his Matys honble
Councill and the honble the Delegates and Deputys now
sitting in Assembly to know whether they will Come in and
remain amongst them.
And further the said Comittee doe say that they Canot
proceed any further in the sd Affair relateing to the Indians
untill the returne of the sd Messengers

This house Concurr with the opinion of the sd Comittee and
Ordered That Major Iames Smallwood and Mr William Hutchi-
son be dispatcht if your Excy & Councill shall Approve thereof

Then the following answer thereto was sent to the House
by the honble Col Charles Hutchins and Francis Ienkins
Esqr Vizt

By his Excy the Govr and Councill in Assembly
Iuly 5th 1699.

This Board do Agree with the opinion of the house that the
said Liev' Col Smallwood and Mr Hutchison be Dispatched
away to the Indians

The Board Adjourned till 8 a Clock to morrow morning.

Iuly the 6th 1699.

Journal.

Came Mr Campbell and Mr Hicks who say they are Com-
anded by the house to acquaint his Excy and this Board That
Capt Ion Worthington of Ann Arundell County is returned as
a Delegate thereof Wherefore the house do request Some of
the Members of this Board to Come down and Administer
the Oaths &c unto him & to see him Subscribe the Test and
Association.
Whereupon Ordered that Col Francis Ienkins go down to
the house and Admr the Oaths &c to the sd Capt Worthington
and see him subscribe the test and Association.
