Appear before his Ex^cy the Govern' and his Matys honble
Councill and the honble the Delegates and Deputys now
sitting in Assembly to know whether they will Come in and
remain amongst them.
And further the said Comittee doe say that they Canot
proceed any further in the s^d Affair relateing to the Indians
untill the returne of the s^d Messengers

This house Concurr with the opinion of the s^d Comittee and
Ordered That Major Iames Smallwood and M^r William Hutchi-
son be dispatcht if your Ex^cy & Councill shall Approve thereof

Then the following answer thereto was sent to the House
by the honble Col Charles Hutchins and Francis Ienkins
Esq^r Viz^t

By his Ex^cy the Gov^r and Councill in Assembly
Iuly 5^th 1699.

This Board do Agree with the opinion of the house that the
said Liev' Col Smallwood and M^r Hutchison be Dispatched
away to the Indians

Came M^r Campbell and M^r Hicks who say they are Com-
anded by the house to acquaint his Ex^cy and this Board That
Cap^t Ioⁿ Worthington of Ann Arundell County is returned as
a Delegate thereof Wherefore the house do request Some of
the Members of this Board to Come down and Administer
the Oaths &c unto him & to see him Subscribe the Test and
Association.
Whereupon Ordered that Col Francis Ienkins go down to
the house and Adm^r the Oaths &c to the s^d Cap^t Worthington
and see him subscribe the test and Association.
