Publique Accts be settled before the breaking up of the
Assembly.
(Reflections being made in England how the publique
money is disposed of) and the sd Mr Mason is not able to dis-
charge his duty of Treasurer, that then some other person be
Appointed in his Stead.
Capt Richard Hill Mr Phillip Clarke Mr Symon Wilmer &
Mr Wm Hemsley bring Levt Coll. Jno Thomson to make oathe
to his Publique Accots who made oath thereto Accordingly.

Upon reading the houses Answer to Sevrll proposalls from
this Board (Advised) that some proposall be made to the
House abt the Indians living at the head of Potomock and
Susquahanah that the same may be sent to the Governr of
New Yorke
Brought from the house of Delegates the following Bills
Vizt
A Bill for the better dividing St Pawls and Shrewsbury
parishes and read the 2d tyme and passed
A Bill Empowering the Comrs of the County Courts to
leavy and raise money to defray the Necessary Charges of
their Countys read and passed
A Bill for reviving Csecill County process read the second
time and passed
A Bill for restraining the Extortions of the Sherriffs Sub-
sherriffs and Deputy Comissary's read the second time and
passed
A Bill for Stay of Executions read the Second time and
passed
A Bill for Securing the Perochiall Lyberaryes of this Province
&ca Read the first time and it is remarqued that the former
law ought to be repealed

By his Exncy the Governr & Councill in
Assembly March the 23d 1697/8

This Board Require the house would Send up Some of theire
Membrs to conferr about Settling the Courts and that they
would bring the bill Appointing Court days wth them
