We therefore make our humble addresses that no Juryes
may be unjustly vexed, Menanced, overawed or detered for or
from freely giveing their virdict according to their conscience
and duty nor bound in any recognizances for the peace or
unjustly prosecuted for so doing but that they may have free-
dome and Liberty freely and clearly to give their verdict with-
out any apprehensions of fear or danger and be saved harm-
less for the same unless they may justly by law be attainted
and that all Jurors now at present under such recognizances
and prosecuted for the causes aforesd may be discharged of
such recognizances, and that such prosecution may cease.
And that this house and the whole province being assured
of your Excys Justice in haveing these our Just aggreivances
redresst. May more heartily and Sincerely Ioyne in the per-
fecting the business of this province both for the honr of his
Majty and the benefit of all his good and liege people of the
same.

Ordered that Mr Iames Saunders, Mr Michl Miller, Mr
Elisha Hall, Collo Iames Smallwood, Mr Thomas Staley, Mr
Edward Lloyd Mr Francis Ienkins, Mr Walter Cambell, Mr Wm
Harris and Collo Ninian Beale carry the afsd bills and addresses
to his Excy and Councill.
The peticon of the Crs of Samll Withers, read and refferred
till the next Sessions of Assembly.
Ordered that Mr Edward Lloyd give notice to Dr Iames
Benson Exr of the said Samll Withers that he be and appear
at the next Sessions of Assembly to answer to the said
peticon.
Mr Iames Saunders and the rest of the members, returne
and say they have delivered their Message.
The honble Thos Tench Esqr and Coll: Addison enter the
house and Mr Tench informs Mr Speaker that his Excy in his
Matys name comanded him and the whole house to attend on
him Imediately.

Mr Speaker and the whole house go down to the Councill
Chamber where the house was called over, and Capt Waug-
hop, Mr Moreland Major Hamond, Capt Hill, Mr Young, Mr
Crauford, Capt Hoskins, Mr Benja Hall, Mr Ashman, Mr Ferry,
Mr Hemsley, Doctor Lookerman, Mr Hutchison and Major
Barton were absent.
His Excy ordered the Message sent by Major Lowe &c. to
be read by the clk: of the Councill to which his Excy delivered
Mr Speaker the answer.
