Clerk of the Indictmts ffees in Sending out soe many Vinires
for creating ffees be incerted.
A Bill for reviuing Caecill County process read the first tyme
and will pass with Ammendmt

March the 22d 1697/8.

The Councill again Sate and were prsent as Yesterday.
That Inquiry be made whether Major Ennalls his Vessell
has pd the dutys or not, Some of her Owners being said not to
be of this Country.

By his Exncy the Governr and Councill in Assembly March
the 22d 1697/8.

This Board having appointed the honorble Coll George
Robotham Thomas Tench Esqr Coll Charles Hutchins and
Coll Ino Addison as a Cofnittee for considering the Drawing
up a bill for the better Regulating the Millitia within this
Province do desire the House would appoint Some of their
Membrs to Ioyne with them therein.

and some other Members the following Message.

Yr Exncys pleasure by the honorble Coll. Henry Jowles Chan-
cellr of deferring the Conferrence about the Indians for a day
or two longer We have recd ffor wch Especiall fauour of yr
Exncys to this house We giue you our Most humble & hearty
thanks.

In Answer to the Message Sent by the honorble Coll. Robo-
tham and Thomas Tench Esqr desireing this House to
appoint some of their Members to joyne with Some Gentn of
his Majties honorble Councill to Consider of drawing up a bill
for the better regulating of the Millitia of this Province. The
House being resolved into a grand Cofnittee upon mature
Debate have resolued unaminously that the Old Law stand as
it is without any manner of Alteracon.
