We comanded our clk: to Imploy one upon some especiall
Services, and therefore we allowed him.
As for his allowance for being clark to the meeting ab^t the
Indians in October 1697. It was the sence of the house he
ought to do it as dark of the Councill.
M^r Denton is allowed 400' of Tob^o for being dk: to 2
Comittees this sessions.
As to the proposall ab^t the Leavy Law. This house do
concurr with the first part of the proposall but as to the second
part if it be meant that 20000^l of Tobb^o shall be leavyed for
defraying the Justices charge of this and the next provinciall
Court. This House agree thereto.
As to Major Whittingtons Lre: ab^t the Bounds of Pensilvania.
This house will not take the same into consideration till we
receive an answer from England of our address ab^t it.
The Lre: from the Navy office is not before us.
The Certificate from the Ordinance office is not before us.
As to the forms of oaths and a charge to the Grand Jury,
we referr the Same to the next Sessions of Assembly.
As to M^r Parker the house will take care about it.
As to Doctor Bray's Lre: it being writt to his Ex^cy the Gov^r
we desire his Ex^cy will answer.
Resolved also the following Message be sent to his Ex^cy

By the house of Delegates Aprill I^st 1698.

May it please your Ex^cy
Our severall comittees being adjourned to the house, and
nothing remaining before us, we humbly hope for and earnestly
beg your Ex^cy Comand to attend in order to put an End to
this Session. Signed p order.

and his Matys. honble: Councill by Maj^r Hammond, Cap^t Hill,
M^r Harris, M^r Ben Hall, M^r Young, M^r Cavile, M^r Lloyd, M^r
Hutchison, M^r Collins and M^r Ashman, who returne and say
they have delivered their Message.

In answer to the Message of the hon^ble Board this house do
say that it never was usuall to have any of the hon^ble Councill
appointed for apportioning the Leavy before the last Assembly
yett the house agree that two of them be added as was last
