Graham from Hampton Virginia, he was drafted but allowed
a few day's to try to procure a man in his stead, but on giving
a negro fifty dollars he got a putt on board the Hotham Tender
brings Dixon & Hunter's paper till the10th currt by
which I see our friend Mr Ingram is advertising from North-
ampton County that he intends to have the Collony soon

possession. York-Town May 16th 1778.

Monday 18 May 1778

Present as on Saturday except Thomas Sim Lee Esqr
Ordered that Mr Crysall deliver to Capt Rogers 3 barrels
of Pork 4 Barrels of Beef 600 lb ship bread one Barrell flour
50 fathom 2 Inch rope and 20 Gallons of Whiskey for the use
of the General Smallwood and to Capt. Matthews one Barrel
Whiskey for the Galley Independence
That Mr Crysall deliver to Lieut Boyle one barrel Whiskey,
3 Barrels flour four Barrels Beef two Barrels Pork and 8 Bar-
rels Bread & 150 lb of Bacon for the Baltimore Galley
That the Commissary of Stores deliver to Lieut. Skiret of
Capt Brownes Company of Artilery one Blanket and Russia
Drab suff. for 2 pair Breeches.
That the said Commissary of Stores deliver to Capt Bailliry
2 pair Shoes and 4 pair Stockings for two Recruits charged to
Genl Pulaski's Legion
That the said Commissary of Stores deliver to Lieut Boyle
two Bolts Canvas for the Galley Baltimore.
That the western shore Treasurer Pay to David Schriver
Fifteen pounds for the use of Nicholas Franger per Certa
allowed by the Aud Genl
That the said Treasurer Pay to Capt. Nicholas Mauger one
thousand six hundred and eighty Dollars to enable him to
pay the sixty Dollars Bounty to each of the following substi-
tutes enlisted to serve for three years or during the War from
Saint Mary's County Viz. Pat. Kelly, William McGee, Charles
McGee, John Rock, John Holmes, Austin Howard, Bennet
Cheshire, Thomas Green Alvey, Justinian Pullock, John Blun-
dell, Elias Henry, John Baptist Bailey Richard Hall, Traverse
Alvey, Joseph Shanks Zephaniah Williams James Thomas,
Henry Harley, George Collins, William Holt Edward Harley
John Farden Jeremiah Scrabler Thomas Curtis John Sprague
Athans Thompson John Trueman and William Rock in all 28.
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer Pay to Edward
Lloyd Esqr two thousand one hundred and eighty seven
