to endeavour to get our Proportion up by Water. We shall
have two Gallies below and, if it would be agreeable, we
would have the whole brought hither and divided by any
Body sent or appointed for that Purpose.

Ordered That the western shore Treasurer Pay to Thomas
Sim Lee Esq. One hundred and eighty nine Pounds for his
Attenda in Council
That the said Treasurer Pay to Joseph Dowson twelve
Pounds seventeen shillings and six Pence per Acct passed by
the Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer Pay to Thomas Hyde ninty five
Pounds five shillings due him per Acct passed by the A.
Genl
That the said Treasurer Pay to Isaac Jones twenty Pounds
seventeen shillings and six Pence due p ace' passed by the A
Genl
That the said Treasurer Pay to Silas Simpkins twenty
Dollars Express from Old Town in Washington County
Ordered That Mr Crysal deliver to George Piercy one hhd
Whiskey for the Conqueror Galley
Commission issued to John Strawbridge appointed Sheriff
of Cecil County he having resigned in March last.
Commissions issued to Lemuel Barritt appointed Colonel,
Andrew Bruce Lieut Colo Joseph Inslow Ensign of Capt.
Cresaps Company, David Swank Ensign of Capt. Clintons
Compy also to James Prather Captain Thomas Humphreys
first Lieut. Joseph Read second Lieut, Charles Prather Ens.
Philip Pindell Capt. Thomas Hynes, first Lieut, Abraham Cox
second Lieut and John Webb Ensign belonging to the Third
or Western Battalion of Militia in Washington County

Sir, The distressed and defenceless Situation of the back
Inhabitants makes immediate Assistance necessary we are
sending off 100 Musketts and 10 Riffles we do not know how
the People are off for amunition but by the Express who says
they have a good deal of Lead but are bare of Powder we
