That Mr Goldsmith deliver to Como Grason 1 Side Leather
for the use of the Galley Independence

Tuesday 12th October 1779

Present as on Yesterday Thomas Sim Lee Esqr Attended
The Commission of Capt Joseph Ford from Thomas Rich-
ardson Assistant Commissary of Purchases of the 3d of July
1778 to be Assistant Commissary of Purchases for the Counties
of Saint Mary's and Calvert in the State of Maryland being
Produced to this Board, Licence is hereby given to him the
said Joseph Ford according to the Act of Assembly in such
Case lately made and Provided to Act and transact in the
Counties aforesaid as Assistant Comy of Purs
Ordered that the Western shore Treasurer pay to James
Brice Esq One hundred and five Pounds due him for his
Attendance in Council to this Day
Commissions issued to Thomas Gray Elected Sheriff of
Calvert County to Thomas Harwood Sheriff of Ann Arundel
County and also to Benjamin Cawood Sheriff of Charles
County

Present as on Yesterday
William Hatton of the Matross Compy at Annapolis being
an Invalid and having procured Abraham Lawell an Able
bodied Man to serve in his stead during the War, is therefore
discharged from any further Service in the said Company
Summons's issued for Ignatius Wheeler Ignatius Wheeler
junr, John Love Capt Charles Baker, James Bartin, James
Webster, James Giles and Robert Amas to Testify in the Case
of the Sheriff of Harford County
Commission issued to Alexander Clagett elected Sheriff of
Washington County
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Elie
Vallette seventy seven Pounds five shillings due him per
Account passed by the Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to Jacob Lusby four Pounds
fourteen shillings and four Pence half penny due him per
Account passed by the Aud. Genl
Permission is hereby granted to Lade on board the Schooner
Cambridge of the Burthen of Fifty Tons or thereabouts
belonging to Joseph Dowson & Compy a Cargoe of Flour,
Potatoes, Turnips and other Vegetables and the same to clear
