Murdock Ens of the 6 Regt two thousand Dollars in leiw of
the Articles for the present year allowed by the late Act of
Assy
That the said Treasurer pay to Capt Edward Gale,one hundred
and twenty six Pounds, one shilling and four pence for the
use of the Matross's due them for Back rations and also the
further Sum of Twenty two Pounds seventy shillings and four
Pence due himself p Accounts allowed & passed by the Depy
Aud.

It appearing to this Board by a Commission from Major
General Nathaniel Green Quarter Master General directed to
James Calhoun Esqr of Baltimore dated 30 March 1778 that
he the said James Calhoun is appointed Deputy Quarter
Master General of the Army of the United States for the
Western shore of Maryland he is approved as such and Licence
is hereby granted to the said James Calhoun according to the
Act of Assy in such Case lately made and provided to Act and
transact in this State as Deputy Quarter Master General afore-
said according to the Terms of the said Commission
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to James
Brice Esquire one hundred and forty four Pounds due him for
his Atta in Council to this Inst.
That the said Treasurer pay to Capt John Gordon of the
Galley Indep" Forty Pounds, fifteen shillings p Acct passed by
the Depy Aud.
This Board agrees with Mr Thomas Hyde for the Current
Years Rent of his Store beginning the 2d Day of Decemr last
at £160 and of his Tanyard begining the Ist of May last at £200
the occupation of the Premises having continued without any
Precise Agreement of the Rent.

Gent
The Conduct of Larame, which you have found yourselves
under the Necessity of representing to us, is certainly cog-
nizable by our Laws and, on Proof of his keeping an irregular
and disorderly House, any Magistrate in Baltimore has ample
Power to compel him to give Security for his future good
Behaviour or, on Proof of his opposing the Officer of Justice
with the Declarations & Circumstances mentioned in your
Letter, may be very severely punished. We cannot, ourselves,
