of the Council of Maryland, 1778-1779. 395

[Council to A. Buchanan.]

In Council Annapolis 16th May 1779

to hold themselves in Readiness to march at a Minutes Warn-
ing and you are to assemble them, if necessary, and Act as
Occasion may require. We shall endeavour to strengthen you
all, in our Power & advise you of any Circumstances as they
occur, which may influence the calling the Militia out, or induce
us to think it necessary
We are &ca
