seven hundred and ten Pounds and also the further Sum of

Six hundred and twenty one Pounds, ten shillings for the Use

of John Randall issuing Commissary to be Accounted for

Thursday 15 April 1779

Present as on Yesterday
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to John
Fisher Sixteen Pounds for the Use of William Banckes per
Acct passed by the Depy Aud.
That the said Treasurer pay to Daniel Munro two hundred
Dollars the Bounty due to Charles Rawlings enlisted by him
to be charged to the Ist Regiment
That the Commissary of Stores deliver to Ensign William
Layman of the Ist Regt 2pr Shoes, 6 yds. white Flannell & 10
yards Coarse Linen to be chd accordingly
That the said Commissary Deliver to John Taylor a 9
Mo Soldier in the Ist Regt Discharged, the amt of Twenty
Pounds, five shillings and ten Pence in Cloathing and 1
Blanket, Ebenezer Athy a 9 mo Soldr in the 1 Regimt Dis-
charged, the amt of Fourteen Pounds five shillings and Six
Pence in Cloathing and one Blanket, Bennett Posy a 9 mo
Soldr in the 1st Regt Dischd the amt of ninteen Pounds, five
shillings and six pence in Cloathing, Levin Harrington a 9
mo Soldr in the I Regt Dischd the amt of Ten Pounds, thirteen
shillings and ten Pence in Cloathing and 1 Blanket, and also
to Richard Harrington a 9 Mo Soldr in the Ist Regt Dischd the
amt of seventeen Pounds, five shillings and Six Pence, due
them by an Act of Assembly to procure Troops for the
American Army.
Permission and Recommendation granted to Robert Mille-
gan of this State to go into the City of New York for the
purpose of getting a Passage from thence to Great Britain

Annapolis 15th April 1779.
Sir.
I have the Pleasure to send you by an Officer just going to
Philadelphia a Box which I received a few Hours ago, from a
Gent just arrived from L'Orient, who informs me that he
received it with verbal Directions to deliver it to the first
Governor on this Continent that he possibly could, in Order
that it might be forwarded immediately. On receiving the
Box, I was apprehensive that the heavy Matter which it con-
contained, put into it, I presumed for the Purpose of sinking it,
