Treasury of this State, provided Application be made for that
Purpose before the 20th May next. Inclosed you will receive
Arrangements of the Officers of the 3d 4th and 7th Regts speci-
fying the Times of their Appointments in the first Instance and
their Promotion and Succession to Vacancies in 1777. The
Resolution of this Board is to permit those who have applied
for Leave to go into New York, to go no farther than the
Lines, and from this we have but seldom departed, and in this
Case we wish not to add to the Instances, not from a Suspicion

of Mr Hopkins's Attachment to America, but because the
Season for the Enemys taking the Field is near at Hand.
We wish to put an entire Stop to a Communication that may
be productive of bad Consequences; we therefore as Mr Hop-
kins is on the Spot, wish you would make the necessary
Application to his Excellency Genl Washington to promote
an Interview, on the Lines, betwixt him and any Person or
Persons he may name.

Hoskins a 9 Months Soldier in the 3d Regimt Discharged the
amt of Fourteen Pounds, five Shillings and Six pence in
Cloathing & 1 Blanket Notley Goldsmith a 9 mo Soldr in the
3d Reg. Dischd the amt of Twenty one Pounds, five Shillings
& Six Pence in Cloathing, John Stone a 9 mo Soldr in the 2d
Regt Dischd the amt of seven Pounds, fifteen shillings and six
Pence in Cloathing & 1 Blanket, Thomas Biggs a 9 mo Soldr
in the 2d Regr Dischd the amt of Five Pounds, nine Shillings
in Cloathing Abednego Jackson a 9 mo Soldr in the 2d Regt
Discharged, the amt of Twenty Pounds & six pence in Cloath-
ing, John Norris a 9 Mo Soldr of the 3d Regt Discharged the
amt of Twenty one Pounds fifteen shillings and Six pence in
Cloathing, James Yeates of the 2d Regt Dischd the amt of Ten
Pounds, Eighteen Shillings in Cloathing, Barton Goddert a 9
Months Soldr in the 2d Regt Dischd the amt of seventeen
Pounds, ten shillings & six Pence in Cloathing, Steven French
a 9 mo Soldr in the 2d Regt Discharged the amt of Two Pounds,
one Shilling & Six Pence in Cloathing, Joseph Drury a 9 mo
Soldr in the 2d Regimt Dischd the amt of Six Pounds, thirteen
shillings in Cloathing Barney Payne a 9 mo Soldr in the 2d Regt
Dischd the amt of Thirteen Pounds, ten shillings and Six pence
