Sir
I have the Honour of transmitting to you the above Copy
of a Letter just received from His Excellency Genl Washington
& have no Doubt of your being pleased to pay immediate
Attention to such Part of it as relates to the Militia of your
State
I have the Honour to be
with great Respect & Esteem

Be pleased just to acknowledge

the Receipt of this Letter for
the satisfaction of the Board
as they will be uneasy under
any Uncertainty

Friday 27 November 1778.

Present as on Yesterday
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to John Han-
son Esqr seven pounds for the use of Peter Kemp and the
further Sum of Four Pounds five shillings for the use of John
Goff per Accts passed by the Auditor General.
Ordered that all the Books and Papers belonging to the
Commissaries Office, be removed to the City of Annapolis
under the Care of the Register of Wills for Ann Arundel
County and that the State Waggons be employed in removing
the said Books and Papers
That Colo Dorsey or any other person having the care of
the Stores at Elk Ridge Landing, belonging to this State,
deliver to Capt. Thomas Walker all the Powder, Lead &
Whiskey &ca

Saturday 28 November 1778
Present as on yesterday
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Beriah May-
bury Fifty six Pounds, two shillings & seven Pence per Acct
passed by the Prinl Cl. to the Aud Genl and also the further Sum
of Fifty Pounds on Account
That the said Treasurer pay to Capt. James Woolford
Twenty nine Pounds fifteen shillings for the use of John Trippe
per ace' passed by the Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to Zephaniah Turner Esqr One
hundred and Fifty Pounds on Account.
