Saml John Pope Mitchell, Isaac Layfield James Townsend,
William Stevenson & Isaac Houston, Justices of the Peace for
Worcester County also to John Dennis, John Selby, Nehemiah
Holland, John Purnell Robins & Isaac Houston Judges of the
Orphans Court for Worcester County and also to William
Hindman, William Perry James Benson, Samuel Thomas,
Thomas Sherwood, Jeremiah Banning Edward Hindman, Wil-
liam Manadier, John Troop, Samuel Chamberlaine, Joseph
Bruff, Samuel Nicolls, Jonathan Abel Richard Johns, Nicholas
Martin, William Hambleton, and John Thomas, son of John
appointed Justices of the County Court for Talbot County also
to William Hindman, William Perry, Samuel Thomas Edward
Hindman and Joseph Bruff Judges of the Orphans Court for
Talbot County
The Justices of the Peace and Judges of the Orphans Court
in Dorchester and Washington Counties are reappointed as
in the former Commissions Coroners, Surveyors and all other
Civil Officers of the Appointment of the Governor and Coun-
cil are continued under their former Commissions

Monday 23d November 1778.

Present as on Saturday except James Brice. Danl Carroll
Esqr Attended.
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to John
Smoot sixteen Pounds, five Shillings and also the further Sum
of Sixteen Pounds, seventeen shillings for the use of Ann
Records per Accounts passed by the Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to Joseph Cowman junr Twenty
seven Pounds, two shillings and six Pence per Accts passed by
the Aud.Genl
That the Commissary of Stores deliver to John Woodfield,
Cloth for a Coat, Jacket and pair of Breeches, two Shirts one
pair Shoes and one pair of Stockings to be charged to Capt.
Campbell's Comy
The State of Maryland To all to whom these Presents shall
come Greeting — Whereas the Sloop called the Friendship
with her Tackle Apparel and Furniture, together with one
hundred and sixty Barrels of Flour amounting to two hundred
and Eighty six hundred weight and ten Pounds seven hundred
Bushels of Wheat, and twenty three thousand nine hundred
and fifteen Pounds of Bread part of her Lading have been in
the Court of Admiralty of this State by the honourable Benja-
min Nicholson Esquire Judge of the same Court adjudged and
condemned as forfeited to the use of this State
Now know Ye that for especial Causes inducing the same we
