Thursday 21 May 1778.
Present as on Yesterday
The Dolphin & Plater are to proceed immediately to Balti-
more there receive of Capt. Keeports, the Arms Accoutre-
ments &ca ordered from there and with them to proceed to
the Head of Elk and there deliver to Colo Henry Hollingsworth
what they may have received at Baltimore. The two field
pieces &ca put in the Plater here must be delivered to Major
Smith at Balt, as soon as the Arms &ca are delivered these
vessels are to return to Annapolis as speedily as possible.
Ordered That the western shore Treasurer pay Lieut,
Semmes sixty Dollars the Bounty due to James Garden for
the first Regiment
That the said Treasurer Pay to Richard Eaton two pounds
thirteen shillings and nine Pence expence in taking up a
Deserter as pr Acct passed by A G.
That the said Treasurer pay to Colo Thomas Dorsey nine
pounds for the use of John McDaniel per Account passed by
the A Genl and the further Sum of eighty four Pounds, twelve
shillings and one penny due him per Acct passed by the Aud.
Genl
That the said Treasurer Pay to Charles Downes fifty Pounds
one shilling to be delivered over to Pat OBryan due him for
Waggoning &ca per Accounts passed by the Board of Accts
appointed to audit & settle the Accts of the Mila of the E Shore
in Consequence of the Invasion 1777
Ordered That the Commissary of Stores deliver to Lieut
Woolford Sundry Cloathing on Account of the 3d & 5th Regi-
ments per Lists sent
That the western shore Treasurer pay to Charles Downes
Agent for Purchasing Provisions in Queen Annes County four
hundred Pounds out of the money remitted by Congress for
that purpose to be accounted for
That the said Treasurer pay to Richard Burland seventy
one pound three shillings & six Pence due per Accots passed
by the Aud. General.

In Council Annapolis 21st May 1778
Sir.
In consequence of a Letter received Yesterday from Genl
Washington, we have ordered a Battalion of your County
Militia to be called out as Guards to the Stores 'til they can
be replaced by three Companies from Baltimore and two
from each of the Counties of Harford, Cecil, Kent and Queen
