Recd damage by them & whether any of the inhabitants of that County are gone away to them, and whether they heard not that the sd Privateere was Come from Carolina & bound to the Red Sea and tht inquiry be made of the Name of the Master and of what behaviour they have generally been since their Coming there a due Return whereof is to be made undr the hand of those tht give any Accot of the afore mencon'd things & tht Mr Molls deposition be taken before some Magistrate to be sent here by the 8th or 10th of Decem. next if possible, or with what convenient Speed you Can. p. 418 By his Exncy the Governr &cca Decem. 1st 1696. Ordr abt the Whereas the Church Yard within the Port of Churchya Annapolis is Staked round and that part in particular
where the Church is to stand being compassed round with brush; Ordered that no person whatsoever presume either to take away or remove the sd brush from its place, or trample upon or Ride over it, but that they ride round it, under pain and perill that shall fall thereon, & tht no person presume to pull this down from the place it is Affixed to. By his Exncy the Governr &cca Decem 2d 1696. Severall It is Represented to the Honrd the Justices of the provinciall Court how tht upon a late Complaint of Exncy to the the honrble Sr Thomas Laurence Barront Secretary of this Province in Relation to Mr Henry Wriothesley Court. Chief Clerk of the Court Setting forth tht no Judgmts (there passed) had by him been Entred up since Novr last was a Twelmonth; upon which his Exncy upon further Examination into the matter thought it absolutely necessary for his Mats Service and the Good of the Countrey to put the sd Wriothesley into the Custody of the Sherriff øf Ann Arrundell County, with caution not to Suffer him to go from without the Limits of the Town untill he had perfected and made up his sd Records &cca with Ordr likewise to the Severall provinciall Court Attorneys for their personall ap pearance at this Court in Ordr to inspect that matter & par ticularly those judgmts wherein they have been actually con cern'd as by the respective Ordrs remaining with the high Sherriff and the Severall Attorneys may more at large appear—It is now thought Expedient that the Wriothesley
