  will be very Convenient and necessary.

  Tho:     Whereas Thomas Collyer Navll Officer of the Port

  Collyers   . .      .

  Power to of Williamstadt did by his humble petition pray that

  Grant per- power might be given him to grant permits (accord

 

  Sloops & ing to the directions of a certain Act of Assembly of

  Shallops this province) to all open Sloops, Shallops and boats

 

  Wye Rivrs belonging to little Choptanke, Miles, Wye & Chester

         Rivers, sd Petition being Referred to the House

  of Burgesses came Recommended back as a thing necessary

  to be done; I do therefore hereby Authorize and Empower the

  sd Thomas Collyer for to Grant permits to all open, Sloops,

  Shallops and Boats (by the aforementioned Act Obliged to

  take out permits for a Twelmonth) belonging as afosd he

  strictly pursuing the directions of the sd Act, & not otherwise.

  Given under my hand and Seal this 13th day of July Anno
