Lib. H. D. By his Exncy the Governor &ca May the 25th 1696. Ordr abt Ordered tht the Parish be laid out at Williamstadt, pursuant to the Ordinance of Assembly and that the at William. Tobo formerly Ordered out of the Parishes towards stadt the building the Church there, be either laid out for
that Vse or Sold for bills of Excha or Ready money pursuant to former Ordr
Ordr for Ordered that due prosecution be made by Mr prosecution of the Attorney and Sollicitor Genll agt such Justices of the County County Courts as have made any publick allowances to the Burgesses of the house of Assembly (in their Last County Leavy) contrary to Law; and that such Burgesses demanding and Receiving such illegall allowances be in like manner prosecuted, The Severall County Lists being herewith given for their prusall and directions.
Ordr for Ordered that Publication be made by the Respec tive Sherriffs that a Proclamation touching Pensil Severali vania Trade of the 7th of Augt past, And that proclamations another of the 15th of Octobr past agt Exportation of Corn and another of the 25th of Janry after agt Sea- p. 362 men travelling without passes (formerly Issued and published) are to Continue in force Untill further Ordr And that the same be Read anew in the Severall Counties.
Ordr touch- Whereas a Certain Ordr or Resolve of the House ing Tobo lying in the past this last Assembly that the Tobo lying in the hands of the hands of the Vestry of Coventry Parish in Somerset
County should be appropriated towards the pur parish in chasing a Glebe; Ordered that the Sherriff give
Notice to the sd Vestrymen tht they presume not to dispose thereof for that Vse, but that the same be sold pursuant to a former Ordinance of Assembly.
Ordr touch- Ordered tht noe Person pay any greater Value, for the Lots laid out at Williamstadt than what the stadt& Town Same were by the late Jury Appraised at; nor that Common &ca . . the motion made, by Mr Nicholas Lowe in the House of Burgesses in Relation to the Agreemt made abt the Town Common for 12000 lbs of Tobo be in the least taken notice of; notwithstanding any Ordr Vote or Result of the House therein, there appearing no Assent of his Exncy or Coun ciii to Confirm the Same.
