be permitted without any disturbance or Interruption, to Col- Lib. C. B. lect & Receive, by such person or persons as he shall there vnto Authorize & appoint, the said Duty of ifourteen pence p Ton for Port Duty's or Anchorage, for his owne Use, of Right belonging to him by Law, as Lord Proprietor of the said Province, and as well Coll Copley their Mats present Governr as the Lord Baltemore, and all others whom it may concerne, are to take Notice of his Mats pleasure hereby signi fyed, and to Comply with the severali particulars of the said Report. Motion A Member of Council intimateing a former sus- p. 26 pencion of Sr Thomas Laurence, and severall papers Laurence & Letters to that purpose being produced and read, Suspencion one paper whereof being said to be his Coniittmt to
the Sherriffe of Charles County where its said he was to Remain vntill further Ordr or should otherwise be disposed off by this Board; Upon consideration of the whole Matter, it is the opinion of this board that the said Sr Thomas be not remanded to Prison nor excluded manded to from the Councill, Untill further Order from their prison nor excluded Majties he haveing since been admited and sworne;
from the but the said Sr Thomas Laurence being very sick & Councill indisposed in body does therefore desire to be
Sr Thomas Excused from his pnesideing or attendance at this desires to be . . excused from Board and Coll Blackiston being likewise very sick presideing or soe that he cannot attend; it is therefore the attending at . ths board opinion of the Councill & Ordered, that Coll Green- berry, in the absence of his Exncy preside till his Exncies Returne, or Untill their Majties pleasure be absence of further knowne. his Exncy) to preside in Councill Whereas severall Councill Papers have been here produced, some whereof have been read, and find ing them all to lay in loose Papers, and that never any Record of any thing has been kept since the Arrivall of Governr Cop ley it is therefore Ordered that the said Papers lye lodged with the present Clerk of the Councill, as they are, Untill further Order from this Board.
