      fforme of a Surveyors Comission, Dedimus & Oath one Lib. H. D.

      whereof sent to each County of the Province, Vizt

  

    Surveyors William & Mary by the Grace of God King and

     Comission Granted Queen of England Scotland ffrance and Ireland

   &ca Defenders of the ffaith &ca To of County

   in our Province of Maryland Gentl: Greeting out of the Speciall

   Trust and Confidence Wee Repose in yor fidelity care and

   Ability to Survey Lands, Wee have thought fit to Constitute

   and Appoint, And Wee do hereby these prsents constitute,

   Ordain & Appoint you the said  to be surveyor within

   all the Limits and Precincts of    County afd To have & Whitehall

   To hold the said place of Surveyor during pleasure together

   with all ffees, profits, perquisits and Advantages, to the same

   belonging or in any wise appertaining Provided you the said

          shall well & truly execute all such legall precepts as

   likewise comply with and observe all such Instructions as from

   time to time (during the Continuance of this Comission) shall

   or may come directed unto you; Given vnder the Great Seal

   of our Province this 21th day of May, in the seaventh year of

   our Reign &Ca Annoq Domi: 1695. Witness our Trusty &

   well beloved ffrancis Nicholson Esqr our Captt Genll & Governr

   in Chief in & over our said Province & Territory aforesaid.

     To the Justices of  County Greeting These are to

   Authorize & Empower you . . . or any four or more of you

   Whereof one to be of the Quorum, to Administer in open

   Court the Oathes appointed by Act of Parliamt to be taken Whitehall

   instead of the Oathes of Allegiance and Supremacy unto the

   within named     & tender the Test by him to be Sub

   scribed to, as also administer unto him the Oath of a Surveyor

   herewith sent for which this shall be your Sufficient Warrant

   Given vnder my hand and Seal this day of in the

   seaventh year of the Reign of our Soveraign Lord and Lady

   King William and Queen Mary Annoq Domini 1695.

   ?ath  I, C: B: do swear that I will well and truly Execute

   Surveyor of the     & perform the Office of a Surveyor within the County

   Severall       of   I will do Right according to my skill and

   Countyes &ca power to all manner of persons, poore & Rich with

  

          out favour, Affection, hatred or Malice to any person

   or persons whatsoever I will without delay well and truly

   Execute all such Warrts & Ordrs for Surveying and Resurvey

   ing Lands within the County afd as from time to time shall
