William & Mary by the Grace of God King & Queen of England, Scotland, ifrance & Ireland Defenders of the faith &Ca To of County Greeting Wee Reposing speciall Trust and confidence in your fidelity & Care do hereby Constitute & Appoint you the said to be one of the Coroners of our said County of and to Do and per forme all such Acts & things as to the office of a Coroner belongeth within our said County You first having taken the Oaths appointed by Act of Parliament to be taken instead of the Oaths of Allegiance & Supremacy as also the vsuali Oath of a Coroner & Test before the Justices of the next County Court to be held within the County aforesd (after your Receipt of this) which you are hereby Required to Do accordingly; Given vnder the Great Seal of our Province of Maryland the day of in the year of our Reign &ca Annoq. Domini 1694. At a Councill held at Benedict Leonard Town in Calvert County the 24th Day of Janry in the Sixth year of the Reign of our Soveraign Lord & Lady King William & Queen Mary &ca Annoq. Domini, 1694.

The Honoble John Addison Capt John Courts Thomas Brooke Esqr His Excellency acqaints the Board that the Reason of call ing them together at this time was the Neglect of St Maries County Justices in not holding Janry Court last; therevpon produced ceverall Queries propounded by his Exncy tn the Attorneys relating thereto for their Result and Opinion vpon the same, which were Read as follows, Vizt proposed to January the third 1694 Whitehall The following Quaries propounded by his Exncy ifail of St to the Attorneys by them to be severally considered
Maries and their Opinion thereon Returned with all possible p. 113 Expedition vnto his Excellency Vizt
1st In case of a County Courts falling for want of sufficient Number of Justices to Adjourn the same what may be most proper & fit to be done in such a Case. How the Court may be Continued and the people have Notice about the method of proceeding therein.
