Govern^t of that place w^th a New Scheme & Examinacon of the
Maquass Indian togcth^r w^th a Small Treatice in print Relate-
ing to Severall consultations lately had with the Northern
Indians all which this house haveing duely weighed & Con-
sidered in answer to w^ch wee say that the great vnavoidable &
Continuall Charges ocasioned hereby the Late Revolvtion &
the vast Sumes of money Expended by our severall Agents in
England out of the publick Revenue of this Province, Together
w^th the vast Sumes of Money & Tobacco in Arreares w^ch are
now come to be paid Besides the Continuall Charge of sev-
erall Troopes constantly kept out for the security of our
ffrontier Plantacons these with other Like Circumstances doe
Incapacitate us to Yeild any Supply or Assistance to the said

to the Covenant Chaine renewed in which wee finde our Selves
together w^th the Severall Collonies included for which wee
Returne our hearty Thankes & shall Ever Esteeme it both
our Duty & Intrest upon all Occasions to use our utmost
Endeavour for the preservation Safetie and Well faire of all
their Maj^ts Subjects w^th in these their Ma^ts Territoryes of
America & More Especially for those to whome wee acknowl-
edge our Selves soe signally and highly Obleidged.
