Pursuant to an Order of his Excy Francis Nicholson Esqr
Governor of Maryland and the honble the Councill of the said
Province Convened at St Mary's on the 24th of Janry last past
appointing Severall persons (best qualified to that purpose) to
Inspect the Records lying at the State house at St Maryes on
the 12th day of this Instant Febry and to propose and resolve
upon the best way and method for the Removall and convey-
ance of the said Records.
We whose names are underwritten do hereby testifie and
declare (as well for the Satisfaction of his Excy and Councill,
and the Burgesses and Delegates of this province, this day
assembled at the Towne of Ann Arundell, as of all other per-
sons whom it may concerne).
That whereas the sd Records according to the list or Cata-
logue of the Same taken and made out by the Severall per-
sons appointed as afsd An Authentick Copy whereof is in
the hands of Mr Henry Denton Clerke of the Councill, were
on the nineteenth of this Instant by the Order and Authority
of his Excy and the honble Councill comitted and given to our
Custody and charge in Order to be conveyed to this place.
Wee have without any damage, Loss or prjudice Safely
brought all and every the said Records to this towne Ann
Arundell and have delivered and placed the same, as by the
said order is directed.
In Testimony whereof wee have hereunto sett our hands
this 28th day of Febry 1694.

Ordered that the within Returne be recorded in the Jour-
nall of the house of Burgesses, and then returned to this house
with the Lists of the Records this day sent.

The house doth concur for the same to be Entered upon
the Journall Mr Thomas Smithson and Mr Thomas Ennalls
sent up to their Majtys honble Councill with the afd Bill for
recontinueing the late discontinued process and proceedings
