RESOLVES OF CONTINENTAL CONGRESS 15 MAY, 1778.
"Resolved, unanimously, That every non-commissioned military
officer and soldier, who hath inlisted, or shall inlist, into the service of
these states, for and during the war, and shall continue therein to the
end thereof, shall be entitled to receive the further reward of 80 dollars
at the expiration of the war."
A List of the Noncommissioned and Privates of the Maryland
Artillery, who were entitled to the Gratuity of Eighty Dollars as allowed
by Act of Congress of May 15th, 1778, and settled by Jno. White, Es
quire, late Commissr.'s Assistant for Settling the Accounts of the Army for
Maryland.
