Your Excellency & Honours:
    Inclosed you have a list of our Recruits and Drafts those that are
excused are marked and likewise those that have run, which I shall
send forward as soon as we can Ketch them: I thought it most expe
dient to send these forward and not to wait for those that have
deserted. There is five enlisted for three years which Compleats our
Quota of the last Springs Drafts, whose inlistments I have sent forward.
 		 I am your Excellency & Honours
   			Most Obedt. Humble Servt.
				William Whiteley.

    If you are in want of Officers for the Drafts, there is a young man
amongst them by the name of George Dawson, if you think him Capable
