[Council to Commander of Galley.]

In Council Annapolis 2d June 1777.
Sir
Capt David's Galley is wanted on a Piece of Service, he
wants Men, and says you have some at Baltimore belonging
to your Galley. You will put them into Capt David's or as
many of them as can be spared, and they will soon again be
returned to you. You are also to be attentive to, and have as
particular Care taken of the Men who will be left sick at Balti-
more by Capt David, that they want for nothing in his Absence,
as if they belonged to your own Galley. We are &ca

Commanding Officer of Balt Galley.

Present as on yesterday. Mr Lee attended.

Directions given to Thomas James of Somerset County to
purchase Pork at ten pounds Currency p Barrel.
Ordered That the Western Shore Treasurer pay to James
Tooth by order and for use of Ezekiel Towson fifty nine
pounds, seven shillings and nine pence for Amt Acct
That the said Treasurer pay to Elisha Richardson, a soldier
in Captn Scott's Company eighteen pounds for nine month's
pay, he being left sick at the Time of Colo Smallwood's
March.
License granted Wm Eddis of Annapolis to depart this
State.
Ordered That the Western Shore Treasurer pay Captn
Handy by order and for use of Colo Richardson four thousand
Dollars on Acct of 5th Regiment
Commissions issued to Samuel Owings appd Colo
Jsa Hammond Lt Colo
Chs. Carnan 1 Major
Josh Gist 2 do &
John Baxley Qr Mr of
Soldiers Delight Battalion in Balt" County.
Ordered That the Western Shore Treasurer pay to Wm
Nevin & Compy fourteen pounds, thirteen shillings for Amt
of Acct
That the Commissary of Stores send to Annapolis twenty
Tents with their Furniture compleat.
That the Western Shore Treasurer pay to Comr Garretson,
for the use and by order of George Lindenberger forty one
pounds, eighteen shillings for Amt of Acct
The Bond of Benjamin Harwood Junior, as a Commissioner
