Excellency, for procuring Mr Alkin what he desires, and I am
accordingly charged with his Lordship's Commands to your
Excellency. Mr Alkin has produced a Letter from Mr Jenkins
Henry, who speaks of him in handsome terms, and Intimates
his having already Impressed your Excellency with the same
favourable opinion of him. This gives his Lordship an Addi-
tionall satisfaction, as he shall always esteem himself happy in
an opportunity of Preferring his Native Tenants, and Paying a
regard to the recommendations of the Gentn of the Province,
previously made known to and, in this case as he is given to
understand, not disapproved by your Excellency.
I am with due regard and esteem.
