Sent to the lower house p Major Nicho Sewall and Mr
Edward Pye: They Returne:
A Petition of the Inhabitants scituate vpon the south side
of Potapsco River and others holding land there, desireing to
bee restored into the County of Ann Arundell from whence
at first they were tak into Baltemor County by reason of
their greate distance from and in commodious wayes of goeing
to the County Court of Baltemor &ca read and rejected, This
house Considering that Baltemor County being already very
small and for other motives the same remaine as now it is.
John Saxon peticon, setting forth that he had been allowed
yearly:
as Drummer to the Provll Court 2000
as Drummer to the Assembly 1000
as Doore Keeper 800
and his Expences:
That at the ridge he was allowed onely 2000lb tob: and did
then & at Calverton Provll Court beare his owne Expences
