M^r Speaker returnes in soe free & willing a manner
bestow giueing the same, he as much resented
Voted and ordered by the house & interest due from
the Countrey to him being be sattisfyed & paid out of
the ballance of Accounts due from Cap^t Bourne to the
Countrey.
The aforesaid Ord^r was drawne out and Deliuered vnto
Maj^r Smallwood signed by the Clk of this house.
Voted that the bill of Exchange made ouer by the Countrey
to M^r Chesledyn if the same or any part thereof should not
be receiued, the Countrey must make them good.

w^th the returne of Seuerall Bills & papers.
An Act for 14^d p Tonn read & passed the house the first
reading.
Ordered by the house that M^r Larkins of Ann Arrundall
County be paid 24^l 8^s 7^d from Cap^t Bourne for publick
Expences allowed him, being the full ballance of Acc^ts due
from the said Cap^t Bourne, to the Countrey after his dis-
chargeing a former paym^t of 22^l 8^s st^rl ordered to Maj^r
Smallwood.
The said Ord^r was drawne out and deliuered to M^r Hamond
for the said Larkins Use, Signed by the Clk of this house.
An Act for Naturalization, read & passed the house the
second Reading.
An Act of Recognition read and passed the second reading.
An Act for an Impost of 3^d p hhd, read & passed the 3^d
time & sent all to be Engrossed passed the third reading with
amendm^t and sent to the Councill board by M^r Dent.
An Act for Ascertaining the Expences of the Comission^rs of
the Provinciall & County Courts, read & passed the second
reading.
M^r Tench Comes from the Councill board w^th a Law Drawne
vp, prohibiting Trade, with the Indians, with out Lycence
from the Gouerno^r for the perusall & approbation of this
house, and the same was voted out of the house.
