Council met. Present as on yesterday.
Ordered that the Western Shore Treasurer pay to Col.
Thomas Dorsey sixty Pounds.
Ordered that the said Treasurer pay to Woolman Gibson
nine Pounds.
That the said Treasurer pay to Capt. Frederick Teams five
hundred Pounds.
That the said Treasurer pay to Nathan Griffith for the use
of Benjamin Griffith two hundred and forty three Pounds
seventeen shillings and eleven Pence.
That the said Treasurer pay to Capt. Galbraith one hun-
dred and thirty five Pounds three Shillings and eight Pence.
That the said Treasurer pay to Robert Smith Esq. four
pounds eleven shillings and two Pence.
That the said Treasurer pay to Allen Quynn twenty five
Pounds ten shillings.
That the said Treasurer pay to Peter Engels fifty seven
Pounds thirteen shillings & nine Pence.
That the said Treasurer pay to Samuel Boone one hundred
and fifty Pounds on Account of the Gunlock Manufactory.
That the said Treasurer pay to Capt. George Cooke five
hundred Pounds on Account of the Ship Defence.
That the said Treasurer pay to Nicholas Maccubbin four
Pounds for Boat hire in transporting Troops.
Ordered That the Contractor for the Supply of Provisions
furnish Captain Teams's Recruits with Rations.
Copy of Letter No 57 was sent to the Committee of Balti-
more County.
James Tilghman aad William Rumsey Esquires having
declined acting as members of the Council of Safety, the
Board took their Resignations into consideration, and
appointed Samuel Wilson and William Hemsley Esquires to
act in their stead.
Ordered that the Clerk write to them to acquaint them
therewith and request their Attendance at Annapolis immedi-
ately.
Adjourned till next Day 10 O'Clock.
