Saturday, December 7, 1776.

Council met. Present as on yesterday.
Ordered That the Western Shore Treasurer pay to Capt.
Thomas Conway seventy five Pounds.
That the said Treasurer pay to Ignatius Taylor for the use
of Nicholas Sewell twenty Shillings.
That the said Treasurer pay to Captain Frederick Teams
twenty seven Pounds four Shillings and four Pence.
Copy of Letter No 46 was sent to Mr William Russell, Copy
of No 47 to Capt. Frederick Teams, and Copy of No 48 to the
Committee of Baltimore County.
Commissions issued to John Johnson appointed Captain,
Jesse Wilcoxen first Lieutenant, and Abraham Young second
Lieutenant of a Company of Militia in Montgomery County.
Ordered That whatever men may be recruited by Captain
Furnival or any of his Officers for the Artillery Service be
immediately put into Barracks and the Commissary of Provi-
sions is hereby directed to supply them with Rations.
Ordered That Mr McHard contract with some person or
persons for one thousand Barrels for putting up Pork and also
five hundred Barrels for putting up Beef on the best Terms
they can be had for the use of this State.
Ordered that the Commissary of Stores dispose of thirty
yards of Osnaburgs to Doctor Richard Tootell: also deliver
to Doctor Tootell 2 Bushels of Salt for the use of the hospital.
Adjourned till Monday 10 O'Clock.

Sir. We are not yet determined whether we shall load the
Molly, Captn Conway at Baltimore or in Potomack: but believe
the latter will be the place; therefore be pleased to give
directions to whom your nine packages of goods are to be
delivered.

Sir. We have sent by Godfrey Rodwell £27.. 4.. 4, which
will make up the ration 1/ p day. The money you want for
bounty shall be paid to you or your order.
