Henry Walter for the Committee of Observation for Frederick
County three hundred Pounds on Account of the Prisoners of
War.
Ordered That the said Treasurer pay to Capt, James Tootell
fifty Pounds on Account.
Ordered That the said Treasurer pay to Kilman Lusby
thirty five Shillings for a Musquet.
Adjourned till next Day 10 O'Clock.

[Council to J. Daffin.]

Sir. We have heretofore given recruiting orders to Mr
Thomas Sparrow, and an order payable to Majr Thomas Muse
for one hundred pounds to be delivered out occasionally as
recruits came in. Major Muse being since dead, the service
cannot go on, unless another person be appointed who will
act. Mr Sparrow writes that you will receive the money and
deliver it out, forty shillings are to be given per advance. We
send you an order on the Treasurer of the Eastern Shore for
£100 currency, and request you would deliver the money out
as recruits may come in.

P. S. You'll be pleased to take in the former order to
Major Muse and send it to us.

No. 36.

[Council to Frederick Committee.]

Gentlemen. We send you the sum of three Hundred
pounds currency to forward the prisoners. Let the Carolina
Tories stay for the present. Horses are to be got for the
officers, and a waggon for their Baggage. Let us have a par-
ticular account of all expenses and we will send more cash if
necessary. The acct must be sent that we may transmit it to
the war office at Philadelphia

[Council to Gen. Hooper.]

Sir. We send you inclosed copy of a letter from the Board
of War relative to the Nanticoke Indians, be pleased to make

enquiry and let us hear from you. Let. us have also a list or

schedule of the effects in the hands of Major Fallen taken
with Whayland and others, and to whom they belong or by
whom claimed.
