[H. Lyon to Council.]

November 14th 1776.
Gentlemen.
The Committee of observation for Prince Georges County,
having your letter of the 29th October before them requesting
the Exchange of Bristol Shott, for the like quantity of Lead.
The committee at present cannot inform you what quantity
they have on hand, as part of said shott have already been
Exchanged for lead, however an inquiry shall be made and
information given you as soon as may be, if the quantity they
have on hand should be worth while sending, and am for and
on behalf of the Committee Gentlemen

[I. Vanbibber to Council.]

Nov. 14th 1776.
Gentlemen.
There is arrived by Capt. Hill whose vessel comes to the
address of Usher and myself, also in Capt Booker whose vessel
comes to my address Two large parcels of Powder for the
Council of Safety of Maryland, of which Parcels I apprehend
you are advised by the Shippers. Part of which powder we
have deliver'd to Mr Hopkins your Magazine Keeper, and
Part the Country People took out as soon as the vessel came
to the wharf, and put in a ware house at Fell's point in order
to come at the Salt, which powder we want your instructions
about, there is 10 pr Cl on freight due, I have been selling
Powder consigned to me for 7/ and 7/6. Please to give your
Instructions and Direct where I must apply for the freight,
and you will much oblige your

Baltimore November 14, 1776.
Sirs.
I sent you by a vessell yesterday 100 bbls of Bread and
18 casks of Powder for Colonell Hove and a guard with
the Bote to carry your Salt. But she went to the Point to
Take in the Salt as I Thought But went of with out taking it
and I fear much to your Pregudis But you May Depend that
it shall come with the Next Bote We are going on as well as
we Can I hope the Resolution will Bee with you Sunday
