Council of Safety contract with Nichs McCubbin for making<
1250 pr Shoes at n/. Currency pr Pair, and Ordered That
Western shore Treasurer pay to said McCubbin three hundred
Pounds Curry for above Purpose.
Ordered That said Treasurer pay to Dr John Parnham for
use of Josias Hawkins forty one Pounds, nine shillings & two
Pence curry for Amt Acct
Adjourned 'till next Day 10 o'Clk

Sir.
Captain Patterson will deliver you this, as we want to send
him off with the greatest dispatch; we desire you will furnish
him & with expedition with what Provisions and other neces-
saries he has occasion for.
Mr Joseph Hollingsworth.
P. S. The Commissary of Stores, G. Hopkins will deliver
anything in conformity to the above.

[Council to Board of War.]
Gentn.
We have in command from the Convention to inform you
that a rifle Company on the Continental Establishment is
raised in Harford County in this State, but are in want of both
guns and blankets, and to request you would by the first
opportunity let us know whether you would have them march
to Philadelphia to be supplied, as it will be impracticable, in
any reasonable Time to furnish them here; money will be
wanted to supply them with necessaries to accomodate them
on their march.
P. S. We have Flint-Stones on
Wye river, but cannot procure a
manufacturer

[Council to C. Rumsey.]
Sir
We received your Letter of the 13th instant by the Post and
desire the Company may march as soon as their guns are
repaired. Barracks are provided at the camp which will make
Tents in a great measure unnecessary, however, if others
than what are made out of the linen you have sent up to
Philadelphia can be there furnished, the Company will have
them. We cannot supply any from hence. Gun-slings &
Bayonet Belts can be more conveniently had at Phila. The
