land.
Ordered That Western Shore Treasurer pay Oliver Whid-
don six Pounds, for two Musquets.
Dennis Griffith was appointed Ensign of Captn Deakins's
Company of Colo Griffiths Battalion of Flying Camp Militia,
& Commission issued thereon accordingly.
Ordered That W: Shore Treasurer pay to Shiles Moore five
Pounds for Boatage.
Copy of Letter No 198 was sent to Colo Wm Smallwood.
Ordered That W: Shore Treasurer pay to Saml Dorsey
forty Pounds, one shilling for Tents.
Adjourned 'till next Day 10 oClock

Sirs: We are desirous of having a particular account of
the Troops at present under your command, as well regulars
as militia, distinguishing those that are effective from those
that are sick, wounded or prisoners; also a List of those that
have been killed, we have heretofore wrote about sending
us an Inventory of arms and other stores belonging to this
State to which we refer and repeat our request that you would
comply therewith, we are surprized you have never wrote us
a Line since you left Annapolis, and more especially since the
Battle on Long Island, we are much pleased to hear the
great character the Marylanders have acquired, & heartly wish
you health and good success.

Council met. Present as on yesterday. Mr Rumsey
attended.
Ordered That W: Shore Treasurer pay to Doctr John
Boyd twenty seven Pounds, seven shillings & one Penny half
Penny for medicine
Ordered That said Treasurer pay to Lieutt John Harts-
horne, for use of Colonel Hughes five hundred & seventy
Pounds on Acct of Captn Maxwell's Company.
Commissions issued to Jas Maxwell appd Capt
John Hartshorne 1 Lt
Wm Johnstone 2 Ll
Adam Glascow Ensign
of a Compy agreeable to the Resolves of late Convention.
The Council of Safety purchase of Major Horsey The
Schooner Friendship with her riging, sail and Tackle, agreeable
