[J. Hollingsworth to Council.]
Sirs. Baltimore Sept 26th 1776.
The Bearer Henry Dobson is a friend of mine and first
cousin and has raisd his part of a company as first Leftenant
under Saml Evins as Capt who has got the greater part of his
company. The are both men of Property and Caracter. Capt
Evins leavs a wife and 6 children with a large famaly of negros
and, servants and I am convinst will deserve every incourage-
ment and a Sistance that the nature of the case would admit
of, and I verily believe will merit your aprobation. I hope
sirs the Barer will meet with such a Sistance and dispach as
will enable him to return Saturday morning as I think he will
be wanted with his company. Please excuse the freedum and
Zeall I may write with on this occation as the Barer is my first
cousin and the Capt my Brother in law who I think has more
Zeall for the cause than I could expected as he leavs a very
great famaly without a Hed or father.
The Skow and Bot with some Nales will bee down the last
of the week. The last of the Oak Timber for the Gundeloes
was got into the yard this day and more I think than will be
wanted, from your Hble Servt
Jesse Hollingsworth.
This is the Second Adition of the flying Camp that is
Raising by my friends
