[Council to Nicholson.]

To Capt Jas. Nicholson
Sir;
We ought to avoid being thought troublesome, but con
ceiving it to be indispensibly our duty to have all accts with
this Board adjusted as speedily as possible, are obliged again
to repeat our request that you will immediately render in a
complete acct of all pecuniary matters which you have had the
transaction of relative to the Ship Defence since you took the
command of her. The sooner this matter is brought to a Con-
elusion the better as our Convention as well as this Board are
anxious to have those accts adjusted, and yr Attention to the
Frigate may render it more inconvenient to you some time
hence.
