Saturday, 21st September 1776.

Council met. Present as on yesterday, except Mr Plater.
Warrant granted to Andrew Hymes appointed to raise a
Company of men agreeable to the Resolutions of the late
Convention.
Ordered That W: Shore Treasurer pay to Lt Ezekiel Cox
for the use of Captn Hymes two hundred and thirty four
pounds, for Bounty of above Compy
Captn George Beall and Hezekiah Magruder appointed
Inspectors of George Town Warehouse, in the Lower District
of Frederick County.
Ordered That W: Shore Treasurer pay to Oliver Whiddon
three pounds for a musquet.
Adjourned 'till Monday 10 o'Clock.

Monday 23rd September 1776.

Council met. Present as on Saturday.
Warrant granted to Richd Wilson of Q: Ann's County to
raise a Company of Militia agreeable to the Resolve of the
late Convention.
Ordered That W: Shore Treasurer pay to Richd Wilson
four hundred & twenty nine Pounds, for Bounty & one
month's Pay.
Warrant granted to Robert Harriss of Harford County to
raise a Company, as above
Ordered That W: Shore Treasurer pay to Robt Harriss four
hundred & twenty nine pounds for Bounty and one month's pay,
Copy of Letter No 186 was sent to Colo Rumsey.
Ordered That W. Shore Treasurer pay to John Parker forty
five shillings for a Musquet.
Warrant granted to Francis Holland of Harford County to
raise a Company of Militia agreeable to the Resolves of late
Convention.
Ordered That Western shore Treasurer pay to Francis
Holland four hundred & twenty nine for Bounty & Pay of
above Compy
Copy of Letter No 187 was sent to Colo Aquila Hall.
Ordered That Western shore Treasurer pay to Thos Edison
fifteen Pounds, for 2 1/2 month's services as Adjutant to Colonel
James Johnson's Battalion of Militia.
Ordered That said Treasurer pay to Willm Nevin sixty five
Pounds, ten shillings for Acct
Ordered That said Treasurer pay to Wm Nevin for the use
of Mrs Pinkney five Pounds for Rent of her House for Bar-
racks.
Adjourned 'till next Day 10 oClock.
