money advanced by your Agent to Richard Jenings, and your
memorialist will ever pray &c

Baltimore August 4th 1776.
Sir,
I shall be much obliged to you to let me know if the Council
intend sending any thing from Carolina. I have some thoughts
of going out to St Eustatia, in case I do not go to Carolina to
do the business for you. I shall also be much obligd to you if
you will p this oppy Capt Martin inform Mr Vanbibber of
what he may expect and whether or no you intend sending
any thing from Carolina, as I have mentioned it to him, tho'
could not positively say whether you would send any thing
from there or not. You will please excuse my taking the
liberty of writing you on this matter, as it is a requisition by
Mr Vanbibber of me. Your answer as soon as possible will
oblige Your Hble Servt

Monday 5th August 1776.

Council met. Present the same members as on Saturday.
Copy of Letter No 111 was sent to Jesse Hollingsworth,
Copy of No 112 to Messrs Vanbibber and Harrison, and Copy
of No 113 to Capt. James Tootell.
Ordered That the Treasurer of the Western Shore pay to
William Stone three hundred and twelve Pounds for Cannon.
That the said Treasurer pay to Hugh Hopewell eight
Pounds for Expresses.
That the said Treasurer pay to Lieut. George Dent for the
Committee of Observation for Charles County for the Pur-
chase of Arms, two hundred Pounds.
Commissions issued to the Officers of Colonel Hall's
Battalion of Militia for the flying Camp, dated as follows.
