plenty and if you think proper to let me know the Qnty and
size, I will go or send to him & I know of no other way to
come at them. I have sent 8 Dozn wooden spoons to Mr
Howard @ 3/ pr doz. if you think well of them I can have
more or I can have peuter @ 4/ pr dozn; all the muskets are
at the Gunsmiths and he says he will have them repaired next
week. I shall send down more ceder ware by the first
opportunity and blankets also — there is about 1000 yds of
tent stuff in the Maggazine She I set the sailmakers to work
on it. The Camp Kettles are about, shall send a parcel of
them down by the first opportunity.

[Graybell to Council.]

Gentlemen. Baltimore August 2nd 1776.
Please to pay unto Capt George Keepot four hundred
pounds to be applyed for purchasing Arms and Blankets for
my companey of German Troops and you will very much
oblige. Your most obedr Hble. Servant,
Philip Graybell

Saturday 3d August 1776.

Council met. Present the same members as on yesterday.
Copy of Letter No 109 was sent to Thomas Smyth and
Thomas Ringgold Esqrs. and Copy of No 110 to Mr George
Scott.
Ordered That the Treasurer of the Western Shore pay to
Capt. Thomas Smyth three hundred and fifty pounds for the
Purchase of Musquets, and One hundred and fifty pounds for
the purchase of Blankets, to be expended for those Purposes
by the Committee of Observation for Kent County.
Ordered That the Commissary of Stores deliver to Capt.
Thomas Smyth 20 Pieces of Cruder, 400 Cartouch Boxes &
Slings, 688 Bayonet Belts and 688 Gunslings.
Ordered That Mr Francis Sanderson deliver to Capt.
Thomas Smyth 30 Camp Kettles.
William Bartlet Townsend was brought before the Council
and the Depositions transmitted thither by the Committee of
Observation for Worcester County as well as sundry Deposi-
tions produced by said Townsend were read and after Con-
sideration of the same, Ordered that the said William Bartlet
Townsend be committed to the Custody of a Guard until the
next Convention shall take Order in the Premises.
