Commissions issued to the following Officers of Companies C.S.J.
belonging to Col. James Kent's Battalion of Militia for the
flying Camp, to wit Isaac Perkins Capt. dated 5 July, Abraham
Falconar 1 Lt dated Jesse Cassen 2 Lt dated 4 July, and
James Henry Ensign, dated 11 July 1776.

Copy of Letter No 104 was sent to Capt. George Woolsey.
Ordered That the Commissary of Stores deliver Capt. Peter
Mantz twenty five Pounds of Powder and Lead in Proportion :
also Three Cartouch Boxes.
Ordered That the Treasurer of the Western Shore pay to
John Hall Esquire sixteen pounds two Shillings and six Pence
the Amount of his Account for Expences incurred in Somerset
County and seventeen Pounds ten Shillings for twenty five
Days Attendance as a member of the Council, to this Day
inclusive.
That the Treasurer aforesaid pay to Walter Wright three
Pounds for guarding 6 men from Cambridge to Annapolis.
Ordered That the Commissary of Stores deliver to Serjeant
Chalmers two Barrels of Musquet Gunpowder for the Com-
mittee of Observation for Dorchester County.
Council contracted with Mr Archibald Buchanan for the
making two Row Gallies on the like Terms of the Contract
with Messrs Galloway and Steward.
Adjourned till next Day 10 O'Clock.

Mr. George Woolsey
Sir.
The Vessel you and Company have on the stocks, the
Council of Safety are now desirous of purchasing, provided
they can have her on reasonable Terms — let us know there-
fore whether your Company will sell, and what price they ask.
We expect your answer as soon as possible, when Mr Steuard
our agent will attend to compleat the contract, and give
directions.
