Ordered That Colonel Smallwood be requested to send
forty three Musquets and seventeen rifles to Captn Beall at
Drum Point, as soon as conveniently may be.
Ordered That the Commissary of Stores at Annapolis
deliver to Capts Watts, Merriken & Hammond respectively
the quantity of 4w Powder, 16w Buck-shot & 20 Gun flints,
each
Copy of Letter No 43 was sent to Captn Rezin Beall.
Ordered That the Treasurer of the Western Shore pay to
Colo Wm Buchanan ten pounds, two shillings and six pence for
a large rifle.
Ordered, That Robert Smith Esqr deliver to Colo Small-
wood or his order all the Provincial arms and accoutrements,
which were hertofore entrusted to the care of his Excellency
Robert Eden Esqr
In Consequence of the proceedings of the Committee of
Observation of Calvert and Ann Arundel Counties, William
Waller of the City of Annapolis was brought before this board,
and the charge against him being read and considered, It was
thereupon ordered that he give security in the sum of one
hundred and fifty Pounds, for his appearance before this board
on the third day of July next and for want of such security
that he be committed to the custody of a Guard to be appointed
for that purpose.
Messrs Cornelius Garretson and Wm Noke appeared before
this Board and together with the said William Waller volun-
tarily recognized as follow, and severally acknowledged them-
selves to be therewith content.
" You William Waller, Cornelius Garretson and William
Noke do severally acknowledge yourselves to stand indebted
to the Honble Daniel of St Thomas Jenifer Esqr President of the
Council of Maryland in the sum of one hundred and fifty
Pounds currency each, to be levied of your goods and chattels,
lands and tenements, in case the said William Waller shall not
appear before the Council of Safety on the third Day of July
next, to answer such charge, as shall be then and there
exhibited against him, and not depart without leave of said
Council.
Ordered that Subpoenas issue for David Hunter Senior, and
David Hunter junior of Calvert County, to testify and declare
their knowledge of, and concerning the conduct of a certain
William Waller of the City of Annapolis on the third Day of
July next who stands charged of attempting to convey intelli-
gence to Lord Dunmore.
Mr Smyth withdrew from the Council of Safety, and a new
plan for constructing Row-Gallies, or Gondolas having been
laid before the Convention, and approved of by them, and
