think or mention, but these circumstances you cannot be so
immediately sensible off, and therefore think it my duty to
advise you for your Government, & if you think proper to
send this flour &c with me, you'l please let me immediately
know what quantity of each & it shall be immediately done, if
on the other hand you would chose sending Messrs L & Bs

Bs & please enclose me an order for it, I shall see it shiped
and make up the remainder of this Cargo out of my stores
Captn Handy particularly desires I would write you on the
above heads, and begs you may order a quantity of the kegs
as he says he can take a quantity of them where barrels will
not go. I purpose being in Annapolis next Monday morning
myself, when hope to satisfy you this caution is to prevent any
future reflections, Interim hope to receive your orders for load-
ing this Vessell before that time, which you may rest assured
shall be done, and am Gentlen Your most obedt

Fredrick County June 19th 1776
Gentlemen of the Council of Safety. The Company of
Captain John Cormacks made choice of me as their Ensign,
but as I am Unable to serve I should be Glad youl Please to
Commission Mr George Brown in my stead, and I shall be
allways ready and willing to serve my Country as a Soldier
when ever it Lies in my Power from Sir your Hble Sert
Joshua Deloplain

Thursday 20th June 1776.

Met according to Adjournment. Present the same Mem-
bers as on yesterday.
Ordered That the Treasurer of the Western Shore pay to
Christ'r Johnson five Pounds twelve Shillings and six Pence
for 25 yards blue Plush for Capt. Fulfords company of Artillery.

Copy of Letter No 31 was sent to Cumberland Dugan of
Baltimore Town, and Copy of No 32 to Messrs Lux & Bowly.
Ordered That the Treasurer of the Eastern Shore pay to
Lieutenant Archibald Anderson twenty two Pounds sixteen
shillings and seven Pence being the Ballance of Captain James
Hindman's Company Account to the 3d Instant.
Ordered That the Commissary of Stores deliver to Lieu-
tenant Archibald Anderson one Bolt of Osnaburgs for Capt
Hindman's Company.
