Ordered That the Treasurer of the Western Shore pay to
Thomas Mayo fifteen Pounds common money for providing
Subsistence for a Part of the Severn Battalion of Militia when
on Duty in March last.
Ordered That the said Treasurer pay to Cyprian Wells
fifteen Pounds common money for 10 Reams of Paper.
Ordered That the Commissary of Stores deliver to Oliver
Whiddon 14 large Musquet Gunlocks.
Ordered That the Treasurer of the Western Shore pay to
Brigadier General Dent fifty Pounds common money to be
applied towards erecting Beacons on the River Patowmack.
Ordered That the said Treasurer pay to Brigadier General
Dent seventeen pounds thirteen Shillings and eight Pence,
the Amount of his Account filed, four Pounds of which for
Expences in collecting Gold for the Canada Expedition.
Adjourned till next Day 10 O'Clock.

Balt, 11th June 1776
The Hon. the Council of Safety of Maryland
Capt Tibbit brought in for our Acct 9 Half Bbls. Gunpowder
which was delivered into your Magazine & which we intended
the Province should have had at the usual Price, but as we
with some others in this Town have fitted out a Privateer we
shall have Occasion for our Powder & will be much oblig'd if
you'll send an Order to the Commissary of Stores to deliver
it to us immediately. We expect the Enterprize will sail in a
week at farthest. We are, Gentn with the greatest Respect
N. B. Capt. Ramsay will Your m. obedt Servts
trouble himself with the Order. Jno. Smith & Sons
