your honors, it is of such a nature, that I hope it will not pass
unnoticed by your Honors, if the charge alledged should be
Fixt I shall expect to be treated with Ignominy and Dishonor,
(the charge is Infamous) you will be pleased, to let me know
when it will be taken under consideration that I may prepare
to Defend myself the sooner your Honors will bring it to
Ishue the more thankfull I shall be, I shall be greatly obliged
for a coppy of the memoral.

Hon^d Gentⁿ As I conceive it will be of the highest impor^t
to the Safety & welfare of the People in Skipton District that
a small Quantity of Powder & Lead be lodged there in case of
an Indian War, & it is most probable the same may happen
this Summer from our ill success against Quebeck I beg that
200 lb of Powder & a proportional quantity of Lead may be
sent to the Committee of that district to be in readiness for the
above ment^d contingency :

of Maryland at the City of Annapolis on Monday the
27^th of May 1776.

M^r Jenifer was qualified before M^r Hall, and M^r Carroll, M^r
Hall and M^r Tilghman before M^r Jenifer by taking the Oath
prescribed by the Convention.
Gabriel Duvall was appointed Clerk and qualified before M^r
Jenifer by taking the Oath directed by the Convention.
The Honble Daniel of S^t Thomas Jenifer Esq^r was chosen
President.
Copy of Letter N^o 1 was sent to the Committee of Obser-
vation for Worcester County.
