from having questioned the justice thereof, we have never yet
seen, nor has he ever laid it before us. This Committee,
sometime ago, sent clown to the Council of Safety, a state of
a certain Alexander McGee's case, and wished to know their
further directions on it. We understand the affair has been
laid before your Honl House, if so, be pleased to inform us of
your determination therein, as the man is still under guard, in
care of the commanding officer of the regular troops here, who
is anxious to have him discharged, or to receive your particular
instructions concerning him :

Gentlemen
I now send you enclos'd, an Acct of the Cannon, Stores &c,
under my care, at Whetstone Point, I shoud have sent it sooner,
but weighted to git some of the Cannon on Carriges which
the workmen promised to have done much sooner then they
preformed.
Five nine pounders, come down this day, from Messrs
Hughes's, which appear much better then aney they have made
before, strong & well preportioned.
The Waggoners informed me that none of this Construction
had burst.
I shoud be glad to have Orders to git a Flagg for the Fort,
& to know what Device you wou'd have on it (if aney), as
soone as Convenient, must beg, you wou'd speak to the
Honble Convention in Regard of a Magezine, as we Cannot
possibly do well without it, & likewise to give me Orders how
I am to Conduct myself in Regard to Vessells passing &
repassing the Fort, or aney other thing Regarding the Con-
ducting the Affairs About the Fort
I have drawn on you in favour of Mr Andw Sterret fore one
hundred pounds which hope will be honor'd I shoud have fur-
nish'd the Remainder of my Acct but severell pepole I have
had Articals from are now out of town as soone as I can git
there Accts shall furnish you with the whole
