this letter) of sending the remainder of the peoples Blanketts
as the vessell belongs near to this place, the whole that my
company has had is 59 rugs and blanketts, and are in great
want of the remainder as well as their Cloathes for some have
scarce Cloaths to cover them with, from Sir you very
humble Servant. Thomas Woolford.

N. B. I have had but 54 muskets and 6 rifles for the compy
as yet. T. W.


Monday 20th May 1776.
Council met. Present as on Saturday.

Ordered That Treasurer of Western Shore pay to Wm Lux
Agent for Ship Defence two hundred Pounds.
Ordered That said Treasurer pay to Nichs Thomas for use
of Major Jere: Banning one Pound, four Shillings and eight
Pence for his military Attendance on late Alarm.
Ordered That the Commissary of Stores deliver to Major
Price for use of Captn Thos Woolford's Company of Regulars
ten Rifles, with ten Powder Horns & Pouches, twenty nine
Muskets with Bullet Moulds equivalent and also thirty seven
Blankets.
Ordered That Western Shore pay to Colo Geo. Plater for
the use of John Mason, two Pounds, thirteen shillings & six
Pence for shott sold to Captn J. A. Thomas.
Ordered That Treasurer of Eastern Shore pay to Brigadier
General Chamberlaine forty one Pounds, thirteen shillings and
five Pence for Pay of Militia in Talbot County on Duty in late
Alarm.
Copy of Letter No 156 was sent to Gerard Hopkins Deputy
Commissy at Balt. Town.
Ordered That Treasurer of Western Shore pay to George
Gordon twenty Pounds & also the further sum of seven
Pounds, ten shillings (in seperate Orders) in Part-Payment for
Gun Carriages.
Ordered That Treasurer of Western Shore pay to Colo
Richd Barnes thirty one Pounds nine shillgs & two Pence for
Pay & Subsist of a Compy of his Battalion on Duty on late
Alarm.
Ordered That said Treasurer pay to Jas Royston one
Pounds, fifteen Shillings & three Pence Curry for Work done
to Wheel-Carriages.
Ordered That said Treasurer pay to Joseph Garretson one
Pound, seventeen shillgs & nine Pence for sundrys furnished
Captn Fulford.
