Ordered that a Letter in Answer be writ to the Govr of
New York signifying the receipt of his & the Councills
Letters both wch have been Communicated to the Councill
here who are of opinion very Inclinable to Contribute to their
Assistance as any of our Neighbours & will in order thereunto
Represent the same to the Assembly (which is to meet the
20th May next) with as much Zeal & Earnestness as possibly
may be congratulating also their happy Success in the defeat
lately given the Enemy & to render thanks to his Excellency
the Govr for his kind advice thereof
Ordered also that a Letter be Writt to the Governor of Vir-
ginia giving him some advice of the Premises as also in Rela-
tion to the strange Indians at the head of the Bay & how far
hath been proceeded therein, & to inclose to him Mr Van-
sweeringens & Turbeviles Depositions produced here this day
with the remarks of this Board thereon
A Letter to be prepared & drawn up for the Right Honble
the Lords of the Treasury concerning Mr Fitzhugh of Virginia
setting forth that he being the Kings Officer & Collector in that
Collony came over into this Province to plead in the Behalf of
a false Trader against the King which being notwithstanding
after some debate admitted & allowed of he refused to take
