a Letter from one Iacob Younge who gives an account that
the Indians have cutt off the principall places of Canada and

tht Seneca Indians are comeing to settle near the Frontiers
Pray what Indian News or from New England or New York
lett me have an account of, as likewise if you have any cer-
taine European News since the shipp from Bellefast it being
reported here that you have severall shipps that have had
short passages arrived in your parts that bring late and great
News.
We have no News here, I have sent a messenger on pur-
pose to New England and New York to understand the cer-
tainty of things and if have any News, that may be advantage
or concern to Maryland will communicate it to you, if you
have any thing to send to their Majesties if you send it to me
speedilie, I will putt it on board one of the men of warr, This
is the needfull at present from

Mr Coode's letter to Captain Nicholson

Maryland, 8th Augst 1690.
May itt please your Honor,
I answer to yours dated the first inst. these are to signify
tht the Generall Convention of this Province did constitute the
present Government of the same as by a Coppy of their said
Ordinance herein inclosed (and by his Majesty's gracious
Letter confirmed doth appear to the president whereof we
desire all Letters relating to their Majesties' service may be
directed as to tht part of your Letter concerning Richard Hill
as heretofore we informed of his most horrid and treasonable
expressions against his present Majesty King William and for
raiseing of men and armes, soe wee will certifie the same to be
true and are very sorry tht he escaped your hands before
cognizance thereof evidence of all which is ready to be pro-
duced when he shall be secured for Iustice. Wee have taken
care tht pursuant to your former desire the shipps that are
ready to saile should repaire to Point Comfort and tht all
others which are not ready to saile with the fleet wee shall
give notice to the Collector and navall Officers, according to
your Orders relating thereunto Report here from Pensilvania
