The Rule the Deputyes—
Delegates &
It is utyes or Delegates
of this Prov ordrs following be
observed by the now assembled
and by the Clerke of of Assembly.
First No burgese Deputy or this howse shall use
any Reviling Speeches or name any one by his pp name but
by another signification, (vizt) the Gentleman that spoke last
or the like
2dly That no one speake above once at a Reading to any bill
without lycense of the Speaker, & if two -psons or more rise
up together the Speaker shall apointe who shall speake first, &
no may interupt another or speake till the other have
ended.
3dly That no one shall deliver his opinion or speake sitting
to any bill but shall stand up Reverently directing his speech
to the Speaker.
4thly That every bill proposed to the howse shalbe read three
seurall dayes before it be Engrossed & that every
reading one day shalbe intermitted unlesse upon
occasion Mr Speaker wth the consent of the howse shall
therewith, and then one bill being read twice at one
sufficient as read two seurall dayes & times when so entred
Clerkes Journall.
5thly No one shall come into of Assembly whilst the
howse is sitting with sword or other pon but shall put
